Ambre Loup opens with a smoky, animalistic castoreum note, which resembles part oud oil and part warm, chewy tar. The balsam of Peru is responsible for a thick, cinnamon-spicy resinosity, but the labdanum is really the star of the show here, displaying every nuance of its rich, smoky, tobacco-like character. Beneath dry, rough woods and resins, a river of golden vanilla and tonka swells, filling the scent with creamy sweet sensuality. Simply too beautiful, unique and unusual amber to pass up.
