Francis Kurkdjian is a world-famous perfumer whose unique and captivating fragrances have captivated people all over the planet. Born in 1969 in the ancient city of Grasse, France, Kurkdjian grew up surrounded by the fragrant fields of jasmine, rose and lavender that have made Grasse the perfume capital of the world.
Kurkdjian honed his craft at some of the world's most prestigious perfume houses, including Quest International, Dior and Takasago. It was during his time at Takasago that Kurkdjian had the opportunity to create his first solo fragrance, the now iconic Le Male for Jean Paul Gaultier. Blending traditional masculine and feminine notes, this innovative fragrance became an instant classic and cemented Kurkdjian's status as a rising star in the industry.
Since then, Kurkdjian has created some of the most celebrated fragrances of our time, including Narciso Rodriguez for Her , Carven Le Parfum and the iconic Baccarat Rouge 540 for Maison Francis Kurkdjian, the perfume house he founded in 2009.
