Goldfield & Banks began with a journey. The Franco-Belgian fragrance expert Dimitri Weber arrived in Australia and was captivated by a landscape he found endlessly aromatic: lush native plants, turquoise coastlines, sun-drenched forests, and a reddish-ochre expanse stretching to the horizon. What impressed him most was not just the beauty, but the rarity of the ingredients. Australia harbored extraordinary essences that modern perfumery had barely explored.
From that discovery, Goldfield & Banks was born as Australia's leading luxury perfume house. The vision was clear: to honor this land through a gender-neutral collection that combines native Australian plants with the savoir-faire of French perfumery. Each eau de parfum is crafted to be evocative and refined, a fragrance that transports you to a place and makes you feel it instantly. Rooted in exploration, craftsmanship, and the poetry of nature, Goldfield & Banks distills Australia's botanical richness and cultural depth into a modern luxury fragrance, an authentic expression of Australia's essence.
Since 2016, they have established lasting relationships with Australia's most respected growers and distillers. They use only high-quality essential oils with full traceability, from field to extraction and final blending. This level of provenance allows them to honor each harvest and work with complete transparency, including detailed knowledge of where, how, and when each harvest was grown and distilled.
Key native oils for the home include Australian sandalwood, Buddha wood, brown boronia, blue cypress, and golden wattle. These are complemented by exceptional botanicals introduced to the Australian climate, such as lavender and agarwood.
All Goldfield & Banks perfumes are cruelty-free, vegan, and comply with the standards of the International Fragrance Association (IFRA). Our fragrances are diluted in organic beetroot alcohol, a cleaner, more modern alternative that we were among the first to adopt.
