Tom Ford is no stranger to the fashion world: his creations have been regularly seen on Hollywood stars and in "Vogue" for decades. However, the American designer came into contact with fragrance development already in the early 90s.
In 1992, Ford became creative director of Gucci and thus also had a say in the perfume division. In 2000, he also took over the creative direction of Yves Saint Laurent.
In 2005, Ford announced a partnership with Estée Lauder, which led to the creation of his own brand: Tom Ford Beauty. In addition to cosmetics, they have two fragrance lines, the "Signature" line, which was introduced in 2006. But discerning perfume lovers get more exclusive fragrances since 2007 with the "Private Blend" range.
