Opus XII Rose Incense

An ode to childhood innocence.
I would like a pink, crimson and cheerful one. Velvety petals wrapped in clear and religious elemi and covered in the sensual smoke of hyper-absolute frankincense: they remind me of our pure emotions, when we fall in love for the first time. I remember the rose water of Damascus, impeccable like our smiles; and the absolute of caramel-colored incense, sweet like those hours lost in the depths of our imagination.

What remains when our lives pass?
With bewitching, metallic veins of black ink, I will write the memories of our love.

Moments, images and sensations of bitter myrrh.

Vanilla is sweet, sandalwood takes me to silk heavens, but cedar wood reminds me of reality, dry, brittle and dense like Suede.
Inspired by the uncertainty of the "Rosebud" mystery in "Citizen Kane," Rose Incense is an amber, pointillist constellation of glowing moments whose beauty compels us to believe that only childhood memories are real.
