Romano Ricci

Romano Ricci

Romano Ricci comes from a family with deep roots in the world of fashion and perfumery. Being the great-grandson of designer Nina Ricci and grandson of Robert Ricci, the nose behind the famous house L'air du temps, Romano was always determined to blaze his own path in the world of luxury, specifically, he chose to become a self-taught perfumer.

Ricci honed his craft working with some of the industry's most prestigious perfumers, including Francis Kurkdjian, Isabelle Maillebiau and Pierre Bourdon, for seven years before embarking on his own entrepreneurial journey.

In 2007, she founded the exclusively feminine fragrance brand: Juliette Has a Gun, which combines romanticism, modernity and humor in its approach to perfume creation. Each fragrance is a lesson in seduction, offering a fresh vision of traditional perfumery. The brand name is inspired by Shakespeare's innocent Juliet, transported to the 21st century and armed with a metaphorical gun that symbolizes women's liberation and, sometimes, the taste of revenge.

In addition to Juliette Has a Gun, Romano Ricci is also co-founder of Nose, which shares his vision of creative, intelligent and decidedly feminine fragrances. For him, perfume is an essential tool of seduction, which defines a person's style and personality as much as fashion or makeup.

Romano Ricci's unconventional approach to creating perfumes has earned him a reputation as a pioneer in the industry. He is known for the ironically humorous names of his fragrances, such as Another Oud , Mad Madame , Not a Perfume and Whatever , as well as his intriguing blends of notes. Under her direction, Juliette Has a Gun has become a symbol of modernity and innovation in the world of perfumery since its launch in 2006.
