Floris London: Three Centuries of Art, Nobility and Perfume

Floris London: Tres Siglos de Arte, Nobleza y Perfume

In the heart of St. James's, London, where history and distinction intertwine, one perfume house has stood as a silent witness to the passage of time, refinement and the art of perfuming: Floris London .
At Parfumerie d'Aquitaine , we are honored to bring this British gem to our customers, as part of our commitment to curating olfactory experiences that transcend the ordinary.

A story written in golden ink since 1730

Founded by Juan Famenias Floris , a Menorcan immigrant, Floris was born from a desire to bring the Mediterranean air to London: clean, elegant, and sunny. What began as a barbershop and artisanal perfumery soon captured the attention of London's high society, winning over both distinguished gentlemen and refined ladies.

89 Jermyn Street, still the home of the firm today, has seen nearly three centuries of history pass by, without ever losing its essence or style.

The only perfume house with royal appointment

Floris has not only perfumed generations of aristocrats, artists, and statesmen—it has been recognized with the Royal Warrant , the official designation of His Majesty the King. This distinction, which very few brands possess, reflects Floris's exceptional quality, elegance, and commitment to tradition and excellence.

Among her admirers are names that marked eras: Florence Nightingale , Winston Churchill , Marilyn Monroe and Ian Fleming , the creator of James Bond - who even provided agent 007 with a Floris fragrance as part of his literary signature.
And also a figure fondly remembered for her grace and humanity: Diana, Princess of Wales , whose preference for Floris's refined fragrances confirmed the house's place at the heart of modern royalty.

Craftsmanship: A Symphony of Art and Science

The creation of a Floris fragrance is a meticulous and silent task, a symphony that seeks the perfect balance between art and science. This elegance is born from experience, not artificiality.
Crafted in Great Britain, Floris fragrances use the finest essential oils and essences, collected from around the world.
This art and skill in perfume creation has been passed down through nine generations, cementing a unique perfume heritage.

Perfuming with heritage and soul

Today, the Floris family continues to helm the house, preserving the original formulas from its historical archive, some handwritten since the 18th century. Each fragrance is crafted in England with precision and patience, blending classic ingredients with a modern sensibility. There's no rush at Floris: there's heritage.

Among his most celebrated creations are No. 89 , a men's fragrance with lavender, neroli, and cedar that embodies English elegance; and Chypress , a modern floral with a sophisticated amber base. Each fragrance tells a story and pays homage to a time when perfume was a personal, almost ceremonial art.

Floris at Parfumerie d'Aquitaine: a bridge between worlds

Bringing Floris London to our boutique is like building a bridge between the Old Continent and the New World. Between 18th-century London nobility and contemporary lovers of signature fragrances. Between the purest tradition and the most sensitive luxury.

At Parfumerie d'Aquitaine , we believe that true luxury lies in the authenticity, depth, and story behind each fragrance. And Floris London is, without a doubt, a house that embodies that vision.

We invite you to discover Floris, not as a perfume, but as a timeless experience.
One that has spanned generations, continents, and hearts—and now, it hopes to touch yours.
