Aurélien Guichard, born in Grasse and coming from a family of perfumers for 7 generations, signed a hundred creations before creating his own brand.

At first, Guichard worked for several years for the Swiss fragrance brand "Givaudan". However, he did not like the industrial mass production of fragrances because, in his opinion, the quality suffers and the original aroma is lost. For this reason, in 2019, he founded his label, which he named "Matière Première" ("Raw Material").
